There was a tip today and it went horribly awry, I was expecting you!!!! Where is my list of 3yo's to follow???
booooooo, what did you make of Lavenders Blue this week. Probably not a yard you like too much but I thought she looked a bit classy.
Was quite a shallow race but not a yard youd normally expect to see sending out well backed first time out 3yos at Newmarket, nice enough pedigree and she won easily. Worth a crack at one of the lesser 10f trials maybe.
Another boost for Telecaster there, they could have a legit Derby horse on their hands in a year like this, hes got the pedigree, bumped into Baldings best 3yo first time out and then beat a horse I rate quite highly 9L. I backed the dam in the Oaks at a big price and the sire is my favourite horse, might have to get on.
He had gone right out to 5/1 for the Guineas and that was a sure sign he was in trouble. Typical saver for the bookies and typical John Gosden in the 2000 Guineas. They say he will now go to either the Dante or the Irish 2000 Guineas. Given that Gosden was far from sure he would run in the Derby, there seems little logic in him going the Dante route. His odds for the Irish Guineas is 3/1, with only Paddy Power offering prices on the race. That makes no appeal given that the colt has already missed one Classic. Ten Sovereigns is 11/4 for the Newmarket Guineas and that is awful value. O'Brien's early contenders may not have been his best but they have been pretty woeful so far. The trends are very much against Ten Sovereigns and he's a silly price for a horse tackling an extra 2F.
