This Derby was made by Dawn Approach. Don't be unfair. It was an object lesson in horses and how far they stay.
Very, very early to write Dawn Approach off. It's just a harsh lesson about basics- settling a horse, and knowing how far it will stay. Excellent ride by Ryan Moore. No real complaints- want to watch a replay shortly. Interested to see how Chopin finished his race, didn't manage to chart all their progress as I thought Galileo Rock was about to outstay them!
DA pulled Manning's arms out. Most surprised that none of the Ballydoyle runners tried to set a decent pace.
Has DA ever behaved like a jackass before? Felt sorry for Manning, his mount went bloody near bonkers early on. Great ride again by Ryan Moore on a good stayer. Well done Wardy, think you were the only one to actually give the winner; apologies if I'm wrong there!
