Happy New Year Animal has been expensive to follow, but today looks his day (1.55 Fakenham) as current odds of 6-4 suggest
Just a few that i've thrown some money at today... Cheltenham 2:00 - Simply the Betts, 12/1 2:35 - Whatsupwithyou, 16/1 3:10 - Guard Your Dreams, 5/2 3:50 - Legioner, 8/1 Muss 1:05 - Carry On The Magic, 3/1 1:40 - Stoners Choice, 9/2 2:10 - Christopher Wood, 5/1 2:50 - Gaelik Coast, 7/2 Good luck to all who are playing today... Hope the New Year brings us all good times, memories and of course our health...
Stormy Island is a real chaser. Cleared just about every hurdle by a foot at least. Happy that Brewin'upastorm and Aiden Coleman are OK after nasty looking fall at the last.
Would certainly agree with that. Interesting to see if connections step Jungle Boogie up to Graded level, with immediate effect, after that romp. Certainly think him more than capable of being highly competative at that level. Those bookie chappies reacted by pricing him up at 16/1 for the 2 relevant novice chases at The Festival. However, given his above mentioned fragility I doubt Jungle Boogie would be one that you'd want to be risking that much on re an ante-post basis. For me the other highlight, of this afternoon's sport, was L'Homme Presse's leap at the last in the Grade 2 Novice Chase. Only one word to describe it, people - fab-u-luss!
I was amazed at the size difference between the winner and runner up in the card commencer at Cheltenham. I don’t know if Hillcrest is massive or the Hendo horse smaller than average but they looked like Laurel and Hardy scrapping up the hill. The big un did it well enough in the end and is around 16/1 for the Albert Bartlett. I don’t think that’s value unless it’s particularly easy going on the day. Another Hemmings staying chaser for future seasons though without a doubt.
