Yes has 2 rides in the first 2 races for godolphin and then rides for Gosden in the 4pm race. Just pointing it out as thought it was interesting. Haven't backed them myself...2 bets are enough but Godolphin could easily win the first 2 races over there.
Afternoon all, Hoping to get past the first race in the Placepot at Goodwood today. I think TOMMY G has a great chance as he has won it before and placed twice too. Think Treacherous might run well too, so a rev fc there. I think SDS may have a good afternoon on TG in the first so I'm following him in the big one on STONE OF DESTINY 25/1. In the next 3 at Newmarket I'm on LIGHTNESS, FAMILLIE ROSE and BAASHIR.
lightness is being backed, Famille rose I backed last time out but left alone today, is another 2nd place on the cards?, I like Baashir also. By the time the big race comes along I reckon the board would have backed 50% of the field. For what its worth I've gone for Angel Alexander, was at Goodwood last year and I will defiantly jinx open wide as it came with a hell of a rattle to finish 2nd
Disappointed with Anghaam, she was in a good enough position to pick up but nothing was forthcoming. She didn't stride out with much purpose and looked as if gutters might help. Have to be concerned going forward with her. Danilova was backed as if defeat was not an option and she did it well. A fine looking filly with a future. John Gosden's Senita finished well to be a clear second and this was a pleasing debut from the Frankel filly.
As ever, you mention a trainer on a poor strike rate and bang the winners begin. Please thank me by cheque Mark Johnston.
He gets the winner and yet in his interview just before the off he mentions the other two and not even a word on HOCHFELD, hmmmm
3 year long losing run and starts 4th fav ....... although you'd have to think he'd have been even shorter if they were confident
Are you trying to imply that this old poem is at work here:- "There was a crooked man, who had a crooked style, who won a crooked horse race, over a crooked mile"
