ffos las,3 35: a warm little novice chase, and few can be left out confidently.but MOMELLA was just about the best of these over hurdles, even if her last two runs were rather disappointing, albeit in top company.so,if revived by a summer break, can go very far up the ladder.
I think Secret Reprieve has some untapped potential and is a very interesting each way chance at huge odds. Stable does well at this track and is amongst the winners recently.
Looks like the Ruckers have another decent staying chaser there in Secret Reprieve. Travelled and jumped nicely throughout, then got outpaced half a mile out (on Ffos las heavy!) before staying on again into 4th not beaten that far. 3 miles plus for that one next time I reckon.
Catterick 4.30 Start Time Last 2 wins over 7 furlongs on soft which he will get today. Lurks on a dangerous handicap mark and stable amongst the winners recently. Nice each way shot
ffos las,5 20: i think,INDUNO appeals most here,as he ran a fine race on his debut, only being beaten by a probably useful rival.shouldnt be too long, until he finds a race..
For me Mario De Pail for trainer Sam James. Ran well at Plumpton last time (3rd )and could improve on todays more testing conditions
Watch out for Yasir in the 6.15 Wolverhampton. Won this race last year, on a good mark now and placed several times recently
Was really soggy ground at Stratford but had a nice day out to whet the appetite before next weekends action. Bumped into Fergal today and had a very brief chat about the horse I’ve decided to get a share in and how he has just got back to the yard for the winter season. Hopefully he stays sound and we seem him out in the deep dark winter months
As they are with two separate owners, I see no reason why they should not run in the same races, if the owners see fit. Two of the four runners in the Yorkshire Oaks were from Gosden’s yard. You are making an assumption that they both get to the Arc. If Star Catcher flops early in the season, they may retire her. Whilst it is welcome news that Enable stays in training, she has been able to dominate the last two seasons because of the lack of any top quality three year olds. If a top class middle distance three year old is produced in 2020, the wins may dry up and she may be packed off to the paddocks long before October. I guess that is dependent upon her planned schedule as she could easily avoid a three year old colt by going to the Yorkshire Oaks and Prix Vermeille. She is unlikely to improve greatly from five to six, so she will still be a mid-120s rated mare. Also, the owners may decide to campaign Star Catcher solely against the fillies/mares as there are plenty of big pots to be had whilst avoiding her more famous stablemate who is likely to go to the King George seeking a hat-trick.
Not making any assumptions QM. Just a thought. Cracksman also had a different owner and there are a few posts about that in relation to last year's Arc, possibly because Frankie is the preferred jockey
I dont see Star Catcher improving a stone so wouldnt be much point running her against Enable. Magical is a brilliant filly and a testament to how good Enable is to constantly outclass her, shes absolutely bombproof low 120s every time and it was really an insult to use her as a pacemaker in the Arc, she ran well considering where Ghayyath ended up. Star Catcher would have a mountain to climb with her never mind Enable.
