I saw a replay of Fridays racing yday as of course I was up there ( was on tv unfortunately behind Matt chapman after DDS won the Triumph) And he was feeling abit more positive he said after Elegant escape ran a decent race for 100/1 shot but the form was probably in the back of his mind- however he horse did look well and the champ was full of confidence perhaps a mixture of the form and him not being up to the top top level !!but we will never know
