So Chelsea posted on Friday that his cousin was on holiday (so no inside info for Lancelot Du Lac or Stake Acclaim on Saturday); therefore, I would conclude that he was not receiving any information from the yard so nobody was informed (including himself) about the gamble on Friday. Those of us that get ‘information’ from people who own horses post it on here in good faith and warn that it does not always go to plan – otherwise there would be no bookmakers. I have posted a number of times about horses that are in syndicates of which my boss is a member and they frequently have not run as they have been told by the trainer but I think most of us are grown up enough to make betting decisions for ourselves and accept the consequences. (The gaffer owes me a few quid!) I also know somebody that works in Malton and is often told by a few of the jockeys when their mounts are fancied. Yes, jockeys are lousy tipsters but I do occasionally pass these along – shame that Mojito only started winning the race after I was told to back it!
The gamble was a month ago Not got a problem with people passing on what they have been 'given', makes no difference to me as I wont be taking it. But if you want to fabricate plots about masterplans with no basis in reality, or logic in the case of Lancelot Du Lac, without an explicit or implicit disclaimer, people are entitled to ask you to stop talking pish.
Thank you, Ron, but my daft sense of humour is running even more wild atm inasmuch as I couldn't help but think that was not bad from me, being one of the forum's 'two-bob non-entities'? Oh dear!
