Hi all..2 bets for me today. Cheltenham 1.15pm Minella Warrior 9/2 each way. He ran well enough behind Wholestone last time and more of a stamina test this time should suit. 2nd run after a wind op is often best time to catch them and I am expecting him to go very close. Cheltenham 1.50pm Big River 4/1. Form figures fresh read F,1,1,2. On heavy ground reads 2,1,1, PU, 1. Another who has had a wind op. He caught the eye last season in the Ultima. This is a bit further which will suit. My strongest bet of the day. Good luck all...
Great story seeing Faugheen back on a race track, and will be interesting to see what they have planned. Great sit by Townend in the back, and his class speed took him away at the end... 7/10 for me...
hi fellas! cheltenham,1 15: i think,POKER PLAY has a major chance in this.he won well enough on his chase debut a few weeks ago,and the second has boosted the form in the meantime.this is a good bit tougher, but he might well be up to it..
Surprised they’ve gone chasing with him as he could take a chance at a hurdle, never mind a fence. Always looked a chaser on physique but I can’t help thinking his jumping won’t hold up in hotter contests.
Who do you think chose this rout Oddy…?? Trainer or owner...?? If they are serious about trying to win a big un, then it's a big big gamble at 11 years of age for the horse...
I can honestly imagine they thought the horse still enjoys himself and wanted to keep him going for his sake. They don't need the money or the prestige but perhaps they think it is the right thing to do for the horse? We often think horses (and humans for that matter) can’t wait to retire but many continue to thrive on routine and challenge so it is good for them to stay active.
Amidst all the larking about that wasnt a bad shout. Could have gone even closer had the jolly not got first run.
I’d just got used to calling the Mackeson the s Paddy Power, now it’s the BetVictor I see. My pin has fallen on Springtown Lake. Also like Magic Saint and Eamon An Croc. Count Maribel is the one I have reluctantly discarded, so he’ll probably win now.
Yep I'd think a couple of them might have needed it too. The first 4 were all travelling well off the final bend but only the winner found any real acceleration.
Springtown and Maribel are the two I couldn't decide on either, Went with Springtown as he owes me from his last run!
