Uttoxeter 305 The inexperienced Ceris Biddle takes 10lb off Tara well and really should be opening the winning account up today and 3s looks very fair

You had better construct yourself a good case or you will find yourself in a position difficult to tunnel out of old chap
What’s the opinion on wholestone today? A horse I’ve always liked but doesn’t seem to win that often these days. He seems to be the equine equivalent of a pace maker. He seems to do all the donkey work for others to do him on the line, he seems to run on after being beaten. I can’t be having him today.
It's such a poor race he will have to win if he gets around safely you would assume. On the other hand, it often baffles me as to why such a wealthy owner would want to persist down this route with a horse the public have adored for many years and who has been a flag bearer for the owner/yard winning substantial pots of money throughout his career, as to why they don't just let the horse enjoy a long retirement. What will he achieve barring some chase wins that will never emulate his hurdles form, given his age and recent form. Is Ricci hoping Enda Bolger spots something and McManus comes in with the Foxhunter's in mind, his chequebook flailing. Give the horse a happy retirement rather than a pitiful headline of sorrow somewhere along the track. One for me today and that is Mont Pelier in the novice chase at 1. 25 at 4/1. This horse showed some good form early in bumpers before not taking off over hurdles, somehow came back into form in March this year running 2nd before easily accounting for his rivals in a maiden hurdle soon after. Sent chasing at Galway on seasonal debut he absolutely hacked all over the field before scoring with any amount in hand by 13 lengths, while that form doesn't look great, the horse done it so easily this step up should be well in his grasp and 4/1 seems about right based on that. Nice race, hoping we come on top. On a side note, while I am dubious as to the strength of Klassical Dreams form still, he can only beat what's in front of him and he is still a young horse who Willie is likely improving in phases, he should account for them cosily enough today. Watching brief only. Best of luck folks.
I always tell myself that but always gets done. None hold any secrets except Aaron lad who I’m happy to give the benefit of doubt on chase debut who is a cd winner.
Good morning guys, gals and those not sure The surprise of the day so far is where has Cheltenham's lake gone? I've heard a rumour that the water jump is now several fathoms deep! It presumably is a mud loving stayers kind of day - I have managed to avoid most of those! My Chelts picks are: Pop Rockstar, Springtown Lake, Legends Gold and The Butcher Said Lingfield because it's on regular TV - Lord North and Show Stealer who I think is a cracking ew bet at 25-1 EDIT: it WAS 25-1 last night, now down to 7-1 in places Good luck all
My scoop 6/ew lucky 63 for today: 1:50 Cheltenham - Achille 9/1 2:25 Cheltenham - Slate House 6/1 2:45 Lingfield - Lord North (now a non runner but bets already on) 3:00 Cheltenham - Hear No Evil 9/1 3:15 Lingfield - Beckford 14/1 3:30 Cheltenham - Treasure Dillon 9/1
Bit of a cliff horse in the recent past but I see Vieux Lion Rouge out today, but back over hurdles, something not done for a while now. Only to be then entered up back over the chase jumps at Aintree in a couple of weeks time... Either great placement, or just a prep race for Aintree...??
I really like L'Air Du Vent in the opener, small pull with Champagne Well and the experience behind him.
