What an absolutely beautiful hurdling machine that is. Superb.

It will take a very good one to lower his colours in March.

Agreed - a lovely and impressive performance <ok>

Comp-wise - still waiting for selections from Wooly and Havinacow

Oooh I have now had a double - I may be celebrating tonight! <laugh>

Next up Attaglance and/or Grandioso - either order will do :)

After King's Palace comfortable win, wouldn't surprise me at all if stable companion Saint Flo was fit enough to win the big race after 639 days off. Colour Squadron and Cantlow might give JP McManus a 1-2 in the race.

De Boitron should run a big race in the 3.15 at Doncaster.

Not saying she'll win but I find it very interesting that Mr Henderson throws Ma Filleule into this on chase debut. Little e/w dabble at 16/1.

Toppy - top stuff from the Lay King today <applause>

Well done Double Ross backers - assuming the ones in the comp DID back it!

Hope Grandioso is ok, Attaglance was pitiful <doh>

Typical, they finish 2nd and 3rd. <doh> Well done to backers of Double Ross.

I'd back Zarkandar if he wore blinkers today. But he was beaten decisively by Annie Power at Ascot.

WTF was Powell playing at there? Never a gap up the inside.
The New One pulled away nicely again up the hill but a bit of a muddling race .......

You're right, my mistake as blinkers were left off at Ascot. The New One won well in the end but surely Zarkandar's optimum trip is 2 miles 4 furlongs. Simply cannot back him in the Champion.

The proximity of Jumps Road makes me suspicious of the form.

You could be right about the distance mate. Very disappointed that Zarks was so badly interfered with, and credit to him for taking the fight back to TNO afterwards, but the winner was just too strong.

And although The New One is rightly fav for the CH - the next champion hurdler has yet to jump in public this season :emoticon-0105-wink:

But not a big enough race <doh> Night In Milan outstayed the runner up in the end.

And who's this? I remember Alderbrook in 1995 winning the Champion being a novice on only his 3rd run over hurdles.
