Love the ITV crew giving it the old "not sure how good that form will turn out" after the Superlative. Had the Godolphin or Coolmore horses had won I am sure they would have been waxing lyrical.

I think a few things were a factor there Ron. Halep played extremely well with a high percentage of first serves in and hardly any unforced errors. Serena didn't play well and hit too many unforced errors. No way was she not up for it and the performance seen as disgusting is a silly statement. .She was up for it she just realised it wasn't going to be her day. Also think she looked tired at the end.

The exploits of the fortnight catching up with her I think as she hasn't played much tennis all year.

Lovely to see ol boy Henryville romp to victory down at Newton Abbott. Nice ride from Sean Bowen too, just kidding him a long the first 3/4 of the race.

Two stinking runs from mine today. Not sure what was amiss with King's Command but he went out like a light there and the O'Brien horse was almost as bad. Neither had the necessary form coming on but I felt the Godolphin horse had the opportunity to come forward at least. It didn't look a good renewal full stop but the winner did it fair and square and looks decent.

In the July Cup Ten Sovereigns tried new tactics but at one stage he looked like setting it up for the closers but he found more and won readily. The older horses were utterly outpointed and Dream Of Dreams did nothing for Blue Point's Jubilee form with a tame effort today. There are some awful looking clapped out has been's and never were's in that older sprinting division and you would think Ten Sovereigns will be favourite for everything he contests for the rest of the season. A Breeder's Cup jaunt looks likely after today. Connections recently stated that Calyx may return to action in the autumn after a pastern injury but it will be a big ask for him to take on Ten Sovereigns after a setback.

This salisbury race is quite interesting, Queen of Time drops into a handicap after running in group and listed company , her last race is working out well , even the last to finish has won next time out , Baba Ganouj looks like the proverbial unexposed 3 year old from a yard on fire , R/F for me !!!

I think the stable had four winners yesterday, so probably over-backed Baba today on the heads of stable form.

Beat The Bank was sadly fatally injured after holding on to win today. That's tough to take. <peacedove>

yes that’s more than possible , but her form was strong from lto, maybe the two month break was responsible , but all credit to the winner , top weight , halved in price before the off 7/2 from 7s ..........a telling move
