Had a punt on Mark Webber in tomorrows Spanish GP @ 40s on the exchange. It would need the Mercedes to go backwards and struggle on their tyres, which seemed to be the case in practice. So he could conceivably be in the top 4 relatively quickly IF he could get a good start.
You know that conversation we had a couple of weeks back where you said I was probably the biggest mug on here and obviously a losing gambler etc. You went on to imply you are a profitable punter. Are you seriously profitable Bob? It's a serious question too and I'm not taking the p*ss. For instance what are your staking strategies etc? It's not that, to my mind, you have had 2 winners this week from roughly 18-20 selections. The first being Ruler Of The World at 10/11 and Felix Yonger today at 11/10. Just wondering how that can be profitable and this mug would be greatful of some advice as to what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance, hope you had a good birthday yesterday.
It's a serious question that's all bud. I'm looking to be more profitable and any help is appreciated.
Lol!! It really is a genuine question. Bob implied that he is profitable and I'm just wondering how that can be based on results such as this week and would be grateful of advice. I realise it is a small sample set but the results are similar most weeks. Hey, great shout on Barizan btw!!
Didn't realise 16/1, 7/1 and 9/1 placed horses were losers. You clearly do need help though if you think punting is a week to week thing. No one, at all, anywhere has winners every day of the week unless they're doing 40 selections a day or possibly, like you, countless multiples. I did notice you started putting up your potentially successful bets when you'd had a winner or two on them. I immediately thought ' I wonder how many bets he's had that have lost that he's not showing us'. I didn't say anything because I genuinely don't care how you punt because you're an also ran who almost certainly loses money in the long term. I'll tell you why I know that. It's because bookies will let you put large sums on multiples and I know from experience that any multiple I do of £25 a line or greater gets put through to a trader before they let me place it and the bet gets limited. You bet through Paddy Power do you not? I know you're a losing punter because I have 9 accounts with them because they limit my bets every time I withdraw decent amounts. I don't bet with them now because the most I can get on the night before a race is £62.50 e/w. each way being my favoured bet. The last withdrawals were Dawn Approach in the 2000. Before that it was the Cheltenham Festival. I understand you feel the need to put me in my place as you've said in the past. I don't know why. I don't care. Drever, let me be clear. You'll never be able to do that because I know you don't have a clue what you are talking about. If it was ROTO, Oddy, TC, Shergar, Boris, Blue, Red or Stick speaking to me I'd listen but as it's you I'll just laugh at your £800+ losing accumulator bets you've told us about and continue to watch the FA Cup Final. Wigan are playing well.
Now you've said your piece and I've said mine in response. Why don't we, for the sake of the forum, leave it be.
Anyone had any cup Final bets? Had Nasri to score first but don't think he'll play all 90 minutes at this rate.
That's good, then you're safe from the Ferdy whispers! He did OK today, but all-in-all he is one trainer who drives me crackers.......
Thanks for the response Bob. Right, punting not a week to week thing? Up to now you have posted 1,962 times since November last year. Lets be generous and say you only tip up 1 horse in every 15 posts (I'm being very, very generous there). That means you have posted up approximately 131 horses during this time. Now we have a number to work with let's say you have a 25% strike rate at average odds of 3/1 (again, I am doing you a favour with the strike rate and being extremely generous as you aren't afraid to post up odds on shots and celebrate like a hero when they oblige.) With those figures you aren't anywhere near breaking even let alone making profit. I have accounts with Bet365 (don't use so much as they refer me to a trader), Paddy Power, Boylesports (not used since Nov 2011 when I made some serious money on a couple of doubles - Panama Kid 7/2 and Quito De La Roque 7/2 £200 win double on 5th Nov i think. I then got them again a week later at the Chelt meeting with a £400 double on Steps To Freedom 11/10 and Grand Crus 9/4) and Betfred. I love multiple bets and doubles etc. I enjoy high risk, high reward You tend to back singles (unsuccessfully it appears) and the problem I have Bob is that I don't abide liars which you clearly are.

I will not stand somebody calling me a mug etc. which is what you did, when clearly, you are one also.
Okay. You don't seem to be capable of following an honest request to give it a rest. That's fine. Keep up the big multiples. You're great at them. I'll keep up the way I bet. I'll continue to show a profit. You will continue to show a loss. 100% truth there as I have been the whole way through. I don't believe you are but as I've said before I don't care either way. You're an also ran. Why would I care about an also ran? I'll not be responding to you in future because I get the feeling I'm arguing with a child and I don't want to do that. It's beneath me.
