I am in a hotel in Cheshire at the moment and decided to pop out this morning to Tesco, it was only 7 miles away. Very foggy here at the moment, hit the button on my sat nav but after 15 minutes I realised for some reason I was heading for another Tesco. After a further 15 minutes I decided, screw this, I am going back to the hotel. So I typed in the post code for the hotel. Drove around for another 15 minutes, seeing the same roads and buildings coming up, I realised both destinations were live in the sat nav, and I was getting 2 different sets of instructions. I was planning to pull over when it said I had reached my destination, sure enough there was Tesco. Turned my phone off, Turned the sat nav off. Did my shop, got back in the car, phone back on and sat nav back on, back to the hotel no more issues, out of the Hotel about an hour and a half for a 10 minute journey!

Happened to me as well mate set off from our house to a pub called the Highway man near Lupton, following sat nav arrived in Settle then along the back roads to the pub, arrived after a 42 mile run. Set it again for home, 2 mile along the road came to Kirkby Lonsdale , 8 bloody miles from our house.<grr>:headbang:

Never mind the Sat Nav mate, you want to be looking up care homes for the confused and elderly<laugh>
Been to the Highway Man loads of times but never via Settle.

Aye mate you are probably right, we’d never been before and it had just been on the tv, so we set off for a meal, ( couldn’t afford to eat there when we were in the EU, Nig ) :emoticon-0136-giggl<whistle>
We should of just turned right in Kirby<doh>

modern technology mate, you rely on something (robotic voice) to guide you to a place while it relies on a nice clear signal (from the satelite) yet decides to feck up if the weather is not quite right or the sun spots have been over active (ie: something no one can control)...hence why i still make sure i look at a 'proppa map' before i set off anywhere.

This is pure genius as an excuse. How long do you think it would be feasible to go missing for? Just asking for a friend :emoticon-0103-cool:

I wish, at the moment I am alone in this hotel, that changes this afternoon, so if it was an excuse to go missing, it was going missing from myself. SEriously, bloody thing seemed to have both of the destinations in it and had me going around in circles!

Is the sat nav voice female as that could explain a lot.
