I think that he waited too long. Camelot was closing up to the line so he definately stayed. Gonna rewind it.

Completely disagree having seen the replay - Camelot was given every chance to win, he was only a length behind the winner 2F out but couldn't match the winners acceleration and failed to make any real in-roads into the lead. Camelot simply not good enough today.

Disgraceful ride. Should have never gone to the inside. Camelot wasn't going as well as he should have been early on but with a different jockey would still have won. As soon as he took him to the rail I was calling that jockey an idiot.

It wasn't a great ride from Joseph O'Brien but the horse wasn't good enough. No turn of foot at all today wasn't bridging the gap quickly at all was he - gaining towards the line. Stayed the distance but plodded home for me. Very disappointed.

Nahh Ron not having that different jockey nonsense because he was always going to be held up to get home and be delivered late as possible. They thought Camelot had the turn of foot to get to anything in front. It is obvious looking back at the race the riding plans. The rail was a bad move but he wouldn't have asked him at that time anyways - NOT GOOD ENOUGH

Camelot not good enough on the day. Francome reckons horse was favouring off-fore? Hate blaming jockeys, not my cup of tea at all.............

I've never heard Aidan stutter his way through an interview before. A lot of pressure on one mans shoulders.

    Joseph has left the course.

Shouldn't have gone inside I agree but at the same time the horse had every chance and didn't seem to pick up but he stayed all the way to the line. Perhaps he just wasn't 100% today but I still think it's odd because the way he won the derby coupled with the fact he clearly stayed means he shouldn't have lost quite like that. Not staying is one thing but that performance was just flat. That said Camelot ran 2nd and beat Main Sequence by a similar distance in the Derby. Maybe Encke is progressive and wanted the extra trip.

Fair play Aiden O'Brien for stepping up to the plate and giving an interview.

Pleased for Al Zarooni, quality trainer.

Did Camelot need the run? Hasn't run since the Irish Derby, could it be he was a bit stuffy? Would a prep run have been a better idea?

My wife was saying very early on that Camelot wasn't travelling well and looked unhappy. Francombe just said the same thing. He wasn't the same horse we saw in the Derby but I still think the jockey lost the race. He went to the rail and was immediately shut in. I'll have to watch the race again and see if I can muster up a different view.
