Really good question. As said Sturridge has remained under the radar, but I don't think that will be the case for ever. His performances and goal-scoring stats will get him noticed sooner or later. As for Suarez, who knows? I have no idea what's going on in his head- I think his thought processes are as erratic and unpredictable as his footwork. One thing is for sure, the more successful we are, the longer we're likely to keep them. We have to win things so they have no reason to go elsewhere.

What real can make of Gareth Bale the brand. the reason for the high fee and why Suarez isnt worth as much is simple. You cant sell the brand Suarez. Its essentially a worthless brand due to the many issues surrounding him and his career. When real spend big they dont just buy the player, they buy the brand. Suarez is worth £50/60million as a footballer and his brand is worth nothing. if he didnt have the long list of incidents attached to him I wouldnt hesitate to say hes worth £80.

Re; Mata being one of the best number tens. I can't disagree, I think he is a superb number ten. However, the point being missed is he isn't being used in that role, he's been playing on the left! He is not one of the best left sided players, not by a long shot. Add to that that he and Rooney want to play in the same area of the pitch and the transfer looks strange IMO
Brand Suarez suits the Spanish game more than Bale's ever will. All the traits you accuse Suarez of are rife in Spain and are part of the Spanish game. Suarez would end up as the number one pinup.
