Yeah. Although it’s all stuff happened prior to lockdown which might explain why schools closed (although that happened a fair time later)

For anyone who can't / can't be arsed to follow the link:

Schools do seem odd, but may reflect the bad flu that I recall PHE were warning people not to confuse with COVID when this all started

Will those weeks be November/December? Am I reading that right? There were an awful lot of bugs going around that time in schools with loads of kids/staff off.

Yeah they were then, but even so the figures in schools were so much higher than all the other places combined the year before it’s still strange

That spike in November/December correlated directly with the spike in positive flu samples at the same time.

Flu generally hits kids pretty hard so it all adds up.

That Nicola Sturgeon sure has a way with words but her voice seems a little bit gruff these days.
Also, I think that's the first time I've ever written her name and I had to do a double take at the Sturgeon bit as I suddenly realised that she's linked to the caviar source.

Potential cases in December/January in the UK before the first confirmed case. Partner of one of the people in the choir had returned from Wuhan with the symptoms December 17/18th. Whole choir ended up with symptoms.

Never heard anyone say barnpot or bampot. Was always barmpot for us in West Hull, Anlaby Road.

    Edit: Oops, late again.

    Derived from barmy

That was shocking...nothing on being able to see relatives that aren't in your household but ok to kill yourself in a over crowded work place ?

Over crowded workplace? I'm sure he said only go back to work if you can't work from home, if social distancing is in place and if it's safe to do so
