    Nothing new in this world.

Mrs Priestley, Class 16, Hallgate Juniors used to do this to me all the time.

I spent a year sitting in a chalk circle.

She said if I rubbed one out (the chalk circle, not what you're thinking), I'd get warts.

One Friday I rubbed a bit of the line out.

By Monday - a wart on my finger.

Hogwarts isn't the only school that employed witches.

I liked her though. Definitely in the firm but fair mold.

Apparently it will take 12 months of alternating between lockdown and freedom for a few weeks at a time to allow the virus to spread around the population in a controlled manner so as not to completely swamp the hospitals.

The Chinese government are now insisting to their people on their state news that coronavirus didn’t originate in China and was in fact started in Italy <doh>

How can such a corrupt regime hold absolute power over such a large and technologically advanced nation as China in this modern, digital world?

    Haunting last paragraph...

This is going to take some time. But I'm very confident that the science will rise to the task and provide a solution. But it's not going to be a few months as our president suggests. It's going to be much longer than that. I would say 18 months, or 24 months. I think we are all facing tough challenges ahead.

I saw a report earlier, that the earliest confirmed case they can find in China, was someone who hadn't been to that market.

The ex-pat lobby over here ensured that was sorted 4 days ago. Relief indeed.

Perhaps - an 18 month lockdown for all except essential workers. That diagnostic mass testing seems crucial too (with the appropriate priorities).
Not to be too flippant - if I was a retired, 80 year-old ex GP or nurse I'd be volunteering !

It's been a while since martial law was utilised in the UK - if it ever has been in the same sense ?
