Kante has easily been our best midfielder this season despite adjusting to a 'new' role in a new formation that is failing. Of course he has not reached his levels of 16/17 when he had Matic sitting deep as our Dm while he charged around breaking up play and launching attacks
Never mind mate, I never meant it literally. He’s being played out of position and is nowhere near as effective, and that’s not just my opinion.
It's true mate. For all the grief he gets, he's more successful than them. For all their beautiful football, they're trophyless.
Chelsea have identified former midfielder and Derby manager Frank Lampard and ex-Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane as potential replacements for Sarri. (Sky Sports) What half decent manager, in his right mind, would even contemplate going to Chavs in order to be sacked? CFC has to be the ultimate poison chalice for managers, in world football.
I love Candyman's views on Chelsea, Bruv. He's the only Chav on this site who is prepared to say it how it really is, at his club. Despised by his own, but loved by the rest of us. That's Candyman.
He's still been pretty good. And despite what the 'pundits' say, he was not a DM under Conte or Ranieri. Common misconception by press and public. Given the right conditions, he would make an excellent attacking right-sided midfielder. He was brilliant against Spurs recently in that role despite playing in front of an out-of-sorts regista (Jorghino). I'm sure he would make an excellent DM though, but that would waste much of dynamic ability to burst into space and start attacks.
Not strictly. He has one, Spurs have two. Edit - Unless you are one of those idiots who differentiates between PL and First Division champions....
I'm surprised you didn't post about James Peter Greaves' birthday yesterday, seeing as he was your first football idol
He wasn’t. Martin Chivers was my first football idol. I used to fantasise that I was Chivers, scoring the winning goal at the Lane, as I listened to the crowd roar half a mile away, kicking the ball up against the wall of our house in Tottenham.
