aye, he's massive, knocks people off the ball for fun (within the rules of the game) for half a million quid he's a snip, think we'll like him
Never heard of him but he's probably relieved that he does not have to wear this anymore please log in to view this image
Dos he have pace? Are we allowed to bid for players with pace as we never seem to sign anybody? Maybe David bellion has pit our board off pace for life?
This looks like a goer. Know nowt about any of them but trust our recruitment lads. They're due a bargain. As for Gino Peruzzi, the lad's managed to get five games in for Catania up to this according to sky sports. I'd have liked him regardless of his injury if his reputation was anything to go by.
Sunderland are set to confirm their second January signing after agreeing terms with Argentinian defender Santiago Vergini from Estudiantes de La Plata. Vergini was identified as one of Barcelona's primary defensive targets during the summer, having played a key role for manager Gerardo Martino during his tenure at Newell's Old Boys where he led the Argetinian side to the domestic league title. Eventually the defender moved to Estudiantes de la Plata but according to many Argentinian media outlets just five months later he is set to join Premier League strugglers Sunderland. The Black Cats have already agreed terms with the centre-back and reports suggest that the deal may be concluded today after Sunderland agreed to pay Vergini's £400,000 release clause to Estudiantes. The 25-year-old will sign an 18-month deal, becoming the second Sunderland January signing after Marcos Alonso, who joined last week from Fiorentina on loan until the end of the season. Estudiantes president Enrique Lombardi confirmed that Vergini will leave the club soon although he did not confirm his destination. "He wants to leave Estudiantes, and as he isn't a player that is considered as principle in the squad, we have accepted his departure," Lombardi said. "He wants to change team, and as there is a good offer that we have analysed, he will leave our club." Sunderland boss Gustavo Poyet is desperately searching for January additions to avoid the relegation to the Championship. The Black Cats are currently at the bottom of the Premier League but they are close to the Capital One Cup´s final, after beating Manchester United 2-1 in the first leg of the semi-final.
Gus Poyet on SSN confirmed that we are about to sign him. http://www.ole.com.ar/estudiantes/Vergini-cerca_0_1063093932.html Gustavo Poyet, DT del Sunderland, reconoció que el pase del defensor está casi cocinado. "Hay una gran posibilidad y espero que se confirme en las próximas horas", tiró. Además, reconoció que va por Scocco. Also confirms that we are interested in Scocco.
Could be a bit of a risk as he's not been training with Estudiantes - he hasn't been paid for 3 months so that's why he wants away.
this is the thing, estudiantes are on the verge of administration, we are (to coin a phrase) picking up the scraps, if they didnt pay £250k to his previous club by midnight tonight they would have been deducted 3 points so we have caught them with their pants down here well done angelos
If you look further into it you'll see that he's been unsettled for the past 12 months & has a VERY high opinion of himself & expected to be signed by a Barcelona but had to settle for Estudiantes. Naughty - Doesn't seem to have been but he's certainly been criticized as a lazy trainer. A right Primadonna comes to mind.
Well all we can do is give the lad a chance. He hasn't cost much & he's on a short contract so if he does act himself it wont cost a lot to **** him off.
