Wonder if there's any truth in this.... http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/05/05/former-roma-manager-wanted-by-watford-report/?
I suspect we will see a whole lot of names bandied around - personally I would prefer we go with a British manager who knows the championship but I suspect the Pozzos will prefer to stay with a foreign coach
For "foreign" read "Italian". Their money, their choice, their almost inevitable outcome, sadly - unless they listen & learn.
Yes - I was going to put Italian but given that the name Zdenek Zeman - who is Czech has been mentioned I decided to broaden it slightly
Not as any choice apparently - Twitter has reports saying that the interest in this guy is 'old news', dates back six months....
still not a bad shout BB not working so no comp ! alledgedly plays attacking footy but concedes loads as well would fit right in lol!
A week has passed and nothing appears to be happening other than BS indicating he will spend his summer improving his English - not promising for those of us who want him gone.
Looks like he is staying If the Pozzos were going to get rid I feel they would have been pretty quick about it! like when they hired him.
No I think they are looking around and will get BS to have a planned hand-over. What's the point of getting rid of BS if there is no replacement in place. I think we will see news when the team are at the training camp in Italy.
From the comments I have seen from Italy, I think that there will be a real push for promotion next season. Not too sure though that they see BS as the man to achieve that though.
Thanks Google. The future of Beppe Sannino will still be on the bench Watford.Secondo Tuttomercatoweb.com the original technical Octavian has never had any contact with Udinese, who seemed to be on his trail for after-Guidolin, but the former coach Chievo and Siena has already had a meeting with the leadership in English to plan ahead for the next season. Think it means he is staying, but then you might speak Italian and know better.
I don't think anyone's really up for criticising the owners very heavily after what they have brought to the club (and I'm going to try not to) but it is frustrating that they don't seem to see what everyone else does in terms of British managers having the track records to get teams promoted. I'm also pretty sure that if Sanino was at another club with non Italian owners his inability to puit out a team that can hold onto a lead in the last 10 minutes of a game would have come into very sharp focus. You do wonder if the magical mystery tour of last year heightened expectations and meant that they didn't have to re-evaluate. Still, it's definitely not boring!
