Off Topic Sandwiches

Not enough L’s

 

Surprised nobody has mentioned the humble chip sandwich. Has to be chip shop chips, sliced white processed bread and real butter. There is some sort of chemical reaction between the grease on the chips and the butter that makes it the king of sandwiches.

Also the fact that my Mum thought we were too posh to make these (she used to keep the curtains closed when we had Fish & Chips) so it also had a forbidden quality that made things taste better when you were young.

 

I was eating Heinz Egg Custard and Rice into my early teens.

I dunno why...I guess I liked the taste

Latest sarnie consisted of bread with trowelled on butter, processed ham with chili, fried egg with plain crisps & mustard.

 

How the **** anybody can eat something that smells like a rancid beer fart is beyond me

 

Basically the meat left over from xmas dinner sandwich. warmed up beef, turkey, 2/3 types of stuffing, pigs in blankets, mini bacon rolls, gravy, in a nice large crusty bun. And a side dish of the roast potatoes reheated. I look forward to boxing day me!

I've eaten very similar concoctions.... another fave was Danish salami, cheese and picallili

Hmm, not really JT but margarine, no probs.

 

Start with cheese slices, add sausages, add bacon...Then add mushrooms and onions, more bacon, top with mustsrd.

Could you not just replace the bread with pieces of bacon - it would be like the northern version of those ones where they use lettuce.

 

and serve on a Laptop...you become a Hipster?

 

good idea, but hands will get to greasy.. The bread is just to hold it together
