Santos are in talks to sign QPR midfielder Sandro on a season loan.
The 26-year-old Brazilian has been left in limbo after the Home Office declared he did not have a work permit last season and the club were told to stop selecting him.
He went on holiday to Brazil but, following a Home Office investigation, Rangers’ sponsor licence, which allows clubs to apply for visas for players from non-EU countries, was suspended.

Sandro returned to Brazil due to work permit problems that may result in him staying in his native country
Without the licence Rangers can still sign players from non-EU countries but they cannot play until the suspension is lifted. Sandro cannot play here until he has a working visa.

As if we don't look unprofessional enough, we have a £10m player we at not communicating with about his contract situation, after our own bungling administration errors!!
Incredible!! Someone needs a severe bollocking!

I'm always inclined to give our new and newish recruits every chance and a good number of appearances to prove themselves but, given the fee and his likely high wages, I think Sandro is one I'd be prepared to give up on right now. To be fair, it's not that he's looked a complete disaster; in fact, he has put in one or two useful performances. However, in our new, low budget mode, he's not shown nearly enough to justify that initial transfer fee and the on-going wages.

Nevertheless, in order to maximise the cash flow benefit, I think I'd rather sell him than loan him out. If only we can find someone gullible enough to take him....
