From the Guardian
"Sandro was properly registered with the Premier League and so there is no case for QPR being retrospectively punished for fielding an ineligible player. Sandro made 17 league appearances last season, scoring one goal."

It appears (according to that newspaper), he had a work permit, but his residency permit run out.But that in turn actually invalidates his work permit....
It is the players responsibility to take care of that, but it is often the club that pushes it through.
It is amateurish, to say the least....and will knock on to his contract, which may be null and void, which may be a good or bad thing for us (he is suppose to be on £50,000 a week (I thought we had stopped that)...and could result in a HO ban from "sponsoring" non-EU players. Is that a big issue at the current time??

Yeah between the club and the agents they do pretty much everything for the player short of wipe their arse.

When Modric was with us the club said they'd sort out the driver's license forms for him and his wife, they just needed Luka to get some passport photos done for it. The next day he came in with the photos but instead of getting seperate photos done he and his wife had both gone into one of those passport booths together so there's all 4 photos of him and his wife with their arms around eachother <laugh>

Moral of the story is if it doesn't involve a football you can't expect players to do or know ****. They couldn't pour piss out of a boot if you told them the instructions were on the heel.

IF we are not allowed to sign non-euro players, how would that affect Ale Faurlin signing a new contract?

Maybe that would be permitted as he already has a residency & work permit? Or maybe he holds a Euro passport?

Knowing us will probably find out he's never had a visa either.

am i the only one who'd be prepared to keep Sandro on in the championship (if he was up for it) ? Injuries apart he hasn't been too bad. I think we're just tarring him with the HR brush.
Reduced wages obviously.

Doubt that will be an option as I'd imagine his wages, even with relegation, are around £25-30k a week.

Personally I thought he was ****. Seems to be one who does ok against a famous team but plays like a complete **** against the rest. Cesar was similar imo.

I don't think he was bad a'tall Wats. When he did play I thought he played well. Problem is he's a crock and is unlikely to play that much so its largely irrelevant anyway.

I think people remember his better performances too fondly. Admittedly playing with Barton and Henry often against three players isn't ideal but for me the winnable games were when he was really needed and when he didn't show up.

I don't think he really played enough to completely judge him tbh - i think he probably deserves the benefit of the doubt as he was on his way back from injury for a fair portion of those games. Anyway - he does have potential and for that alone I'd be prepared to see how he gets on in Div 1.

Ridiculous he's asking the question through Twitter. Think we need to move on from players like him.

For me he did a lot of good defensive work to make him worth keeping, if his visa and pay are reasonable.
