The irony about Charlie Adam is that there is a half-decent footballer in there somewhere, he's got a good left foot. He's just also a massive twat who prefers to win games by injuring people with more talent than him than trying to win them by putting the ball in the back of the net.

His early Blackpool career proved that, looked a great footballer, then he decided to become an absolute ****. For the injuries he's caused us over the years, I'd honestly show no remorse if someone two-footed him and ended his playing career. Nasty piece of work deserves to be taken out.

He was talented at Glasgow Rangers as well, although that doesn't say much! Yet I had to laugh when I saw an old email I sent to a mate who is a rangers fan, saying how impressed I was with Charlie Adam after watching a rangers game!

I just remember Sherwood saying he 'wasn't good enough" to get in the team, a trick he must have learned at the Noddy School of Motivation.

You will be pleased to recall Armand Traore (who normally wouldn't say boo to a goose) put Charlie Adam out for the rest of the season when we played Liverpool (and beat them 3-2) at Loftus Road in 2012. They were 2-0 up at the time.

Enjoy the rest of the season - did we make you look good a couple of weeks ago (we were truly dire) I was surprised with the Liverpool result.

Afraid you did. I thought the defending on QPR's part was pretty dire for the most part. Think on another day you might have given us a better game. You definitely will in the return at Loftus Road.

He didn't play much after his injury, and, to me, never looked like nearly the player he had been. He did look like he was on the right track this year, even if that track still looks pretty long. You just don't know. Many players make a full recovery, even if it takes a couple of years. Many never do. It's especially dicy for a DM, whose job makes them especially injury prone.

It seems like the vast majority of players with severe knee injuries get back to full speed eventually in the US, but not in the rest of the world. It may be the nature of football versus American sports, in that football punishes lack of full fitness much more. But then again, I think players who need reconstructive surgery, especially on their knees, need to come to the US and get someone like Freddy Fu (a local) to operate them. While the work of UK and other surgeons may be outstanding, US medicine has put far more money into delivering the best results for reconstructive surgery, especially sports-related reconstructive surgery.

Anyway, I now have a real liking for Traore. You were pretty awful against us, and we weren't much better against Liverpool. Part of it was that neither you nor us were willing to clog, which is admirable on some level. Well, you've made a few potentially key signings. We're still learning how to play with a new coach. Let's hope we both improve steadily (and rapidly, if at all possible...).
