Inter Milan want to kick-start a January spending spree by signing Brazilian midfielder Sandro from Tottenham.

The Serie A outfit are planning to splash the cash when the transfer window re-opens, with new owner Erick Thohir promising funds to improve the squad.

And Spurs ace Sandro has emerged as Inter’s first target, with a £6million bid being lined up ahead of the new year.

Tottenham would likely resist the offer, but with the midfielder desperate to be guaranteed regular football ahead of the World Cup at the end of the season, he could push for the switch.

Sandro currently faces a battle with Paulinho and Mousa Dembele to get in the Spurs team, while Etienne Capoue will also hope to play when he recovers from injury.

A tough tackling and rugged midfielder, Sandro is currently short on fitness having just returned from a serious knee injury he sustained last term.

The 24-year-old, who nearly joined Inter before moving to White Hart Lane in 2010, has remained a long-term target for sporting director Marco Branca.

6m <laugh>

Have they not met Levy, more like 60. Plus it's the team that we've trounced twice in recent seasons.

6 million ?....<laugh><laugh><laugh>....excuse me whilst I try to stop laughing.

6 million...best laugh I've had all day, what!....pure comedy. <laugh>

Wait,. who writes this stuff and how do they get away with it ?.

I'd certainly cheer him (not to say he's what we need now). I'll never forget his winner against Man U, and for that matter his tying goal against Man U. He was only guilty of lacking the talent and flair a Spurs player should have. I wish he could teach our forwards how to head for the net when there are goals to be had. As it was, he finished with the second most points per minute of any of our players last year.

Hbic, with all due respect....wt flying f are you on about???...Inter can go and be riot police?? SHIELD is Marvel or Wrestling............I'm gonna stop!, explain yourself! The only bit of your post that I understand is 'you got it wrong'...the irony quite poetic from where I'm sitting! :)
