Exactly, they should get on their bikes and look for work like what dear old Norman Tebbitt's dad did.

    Here's my opinion.
I was raised by a dole class Mum and when he wasn't in prison, a workshy Dad.
For all of you lentil knitters, there really is a whole class of people who do not have any intention of working and do ok with what the Government, ie you and me, pay them.
My Mum never worked, was on the sick with a mysterious back problem most of her life. Never stopped her getting down the offie for her booze and ***s. In the 80's she even managed to buy her maisonette in the right to buy scam. She didn't work yet got a mortgage for the measley 39k it cost her to buy a 3 bed maisonette in Barons Court. My friends, that would cost you around 350-400k today. Anyway, she sold it after about 10 years for a lovely profit and after living with a boyfriend for a few years she managed to still get housing association flat paid for by, you guessed it, me and you. The spongeing merry-go-round never ends.
My Dad, much as I love him, never worked more than a couple of years in his life. He spent more than 25 years of his life incarcerated. The rest he robbed, hurt and claimed benefits. Don't get me wrong, I love him but I hate what he stands for. Right now he is in his 70's and not a well man. But, he tells me he has £270 a week to live on after his rent and council tax has been paid for him. His bookie is well pleased.
I am in my 40's, my wife 40 this year. We have both worked since we were 15. Never claimed anything. We have 3 kids and a mortgage on a nice house. We struggle like ****. We don't have £270 a week to live on for our family and I don't suppose it'll get any better when we retire.
I have sympathy for people who really can't find work. I know there are parts of the country where hundreds apply for a job in Tesco's and my heart goes out to them.
But where I live there are plenty of jobs and there are people on the dole who have SkySports. I CAN'T AFFORD SKYSPORTS. This has to be wrong.
I believe that anyone claiming should have a home visit every month and if they have SkySports then their money should be docked £40 a month. The same with smoking. These things are luxuries.
AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER EUROPE COMING HERE TO FILL THEIR BOOTS. My wife works for the housing department of a local council and she is staggered when eastern europeans come in with their claims and show they are getting £1000 a month in tax credits. **** me they must have paid some tax to get that back or is that not how it works?
I hate the BNP but the way things are going the idiots that misrun this country are going to drive those knuckle draggers into power.

    Rant over for now.

Didnt expect anybodys life story on here but I used to work at the Citizens advice and theres plenty of cases that give a contrary view to a working class tory one.Anyway things aint gonna change for the better in the economy so it looks like many more hard working people will be thrown on the dole by david cameltoes con-dem coalition.

I agree with what you say about Cameron and his posh **** friends but please don't ever call me a Tory.
I have always hated and always will hate the tories.
My beef on this thread is with the scum that pretend to be working class and are anything but.
There is an underclass now that helps no-one. And some of them choose to be so.
I came from the lowest class my friend and I am a socialist but that does not mean I should pay for layabouts.
Put your lentils down and smell the coffee.

All comrades here then zinc. The "lumpen proletariat" is always a drag on progressive change and 99% of the criminal element are right wing.Hopefully as the cuts begin to bite the demonstrations will become more effective and it will help to crash the coalition and plough up the lentil fields.ONE SOLUTION-:bandit:
