Good question. Both cracking players. I personally wouldn't mind either. Reus would be a phenomenal signing. He's a similar age to Sanchez but a bit more expensive. I think Sanchez is more like-for-like than Reus. Sanchez's playing style would fit in to our system better meaning we'd have to adapt it less and he'd probably make a quicker impact in the PL than Reus. However, as we're selling Suarez and Sanchez is looking unlikely, we'd have to alter our system, anyway. In short, Sanchez isn't coming and Reus would be a really amazing signing. However, unfortunately, I can't see this transfer materializing.
Reus is a world class player, but so is Sanchez. There are some Twitter rumours that you're in for Reus but the last I heard he said that he wasn't leaving Dortmund. As for Lambert vs Giroud, I don't think either are top quality strikers but Giroud still managed to get 22 goals and 11 assists last season. The only thing you can say with any certainty though is that both Arsenal and Liverpool could still do with a world class striker
And we bloody well had one I think Sturridge has the mentality and raw goal scoring ability though to continue improving and become our main man
Why exactly is it unlikely? With Suarez off, we'd have 200k off our wage bill and 75mill burning in our pockets. Plus he surely won't cost as much as Suarez, He's apparently got a release clause of only 30million. And as Red put it, Madrid don't need him, Barca definitely won't need him after Suarez, The last thing the Chavs need is another Attacking mid. Surely we are in with a shout.
And so did Suarez before he ****ed off. I wouldn't write it off yet mate, unless you are bitter blue nose.
Suarez started lifting his skirts to Barca before the WC and never mentioned Liverpool for next season Why would Reus leave Dortmund to come to Anfield anyway?
True, assuming they were interested. That was just a reason (to be honest, about the only one) why he could choose Liverpool over Dortmund. As I said, I can't see it happening.
Why? Dortmund are one of the top sides in Europe at present, managed by one of the games most coveted young managers, they've got 80k fans screaming them on every week and they're at the top of the German game alongside Bayern. You need to take off your own red tinteds, if you reckon you're currently a step up from Dortmund ffs.
Personally I think you should have gone for Cesc Fabregas. With Stevie G in the twilight of his career you need a playmaker and Cesc fits the bill perfectly. I wouldn't have minded seeing him playing for you lot, but he is a confirmed tosspot now he's wearing the blue of Maureen's mercenaries
