    It could just be that he had a contract till end of the season and the board decided that he should finish the contract
    And it gave Steve time to settle in ,when SC joined it was clear that Sammy was on his way

    Good luck to him where ever he goes

    As has been said, promote Clarke. Maybe he already has and Sammy has been ushered to the door.
