City are not a bigger club, they are a much smaller club with a very rich owner.

Boo hooo .. cry me a river.

If you give it be prepared to take it, simple. I don't feel any anger or hatred toward Nasri, he left because the owners of Arsenal sucked out what quality we had and tried to pass off mediocrity or finishing 4th place as good enough. Nasri saw it and went elsewhere to be competitive. Oh look, he just won the league, what a silly boy and liar to boot <doh>

I agree with you about fans accepting reality....but why are these same fans being asked to pay the highest prices?

I find it strange how rational people ignore simple facts. Nasri was only with us for a couple of years, left his previous club to achieve bigger and better things with Arsenal. He didn't get what he wanted in terms of success or assurances and then went onto even bigger and better things. I wonder if his previous club abused him as much as the Arsenal fans did?

I bet the same thing is happening with RVP, hence his delaying signing a contract. The only difference is he loves Arsenal and is loyal, but deep down inside he knows he has little chance of winning either league or Champions league with Arsenal. He has said the same things as Nasri in terms of squad investment in the past.....

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo.../Robin-van-Persie-Arsenal-need-spend-NOW.html
    11 July 2011

'The way I feel now is that a few signings are more than welcome,' said Van Persie, who is looking forward to 'experiencing something different' when Arsenal face a Malaysian XI here in Kuala Lumpur.

'Every other team is buying quality players, so hopefully we will do the same.

'You need investment to keep up. When you look around, you see Manchester City are buying loads of good players, Liverpool are doing it now and Manchester United have been doing it for years.

'In a way, you need to keep that up because if everyone is doing something you need to do it as well. I think it's a good thing that we have competition because no one really wants to go to sleep.

'In an ideal world, no one (should be) really sure of his place (in the team). Maybe the captain and the goalkeeper but all the other players shouldn't really know before that they will play. It's always good to have competition and be on your toes.'

This is what Nasri's been saying. This is to confirm that RVP has been saying the same things....

To be honest, whatever Nasri's opinion is and even if he thinks he's got a point, he's basically rubbing Gooners noses in it

and that makes him a **** in my book <ok>

Im not really bothered by the things he says to be honest.

If you step back and look at it from his point of view for a second.

He was of the opinion that he was not going to win anything with Arsenal , at that point not totally wide of the mark was it. ?

If he thinks he has more chance of winning stuff with city then he SHOULD leave.
I wouldnt want him at the club if his heart is not in it totally, would you ?

I wont say i like him as a person or not.

He saw the grass greener on the other side and left.

Good luck to him , but i will smile a bit wider when we beat City in future.

    I certainly wouldnt boo him.

Forget him, hes not worth talking about anymore.

its not really about how he was successful elsewhere. he went for two reasons: success and money, only he will know which came first.

what is classless is his reaction to arsenal and its fans, who loved him when he was here, and he repays the club who brought him so far by basically ****ting in their faces.

that's why spurs fans hate campbell...but arsenal fans constantly said he was right to dump on us....Campbell was the fore runner for the '**** you, it's all about me' footballer we have today. He also went for money and success...only he knows in what order...but he spent 2-3 yrs lying through his teeth to spurs fans.

It's not the leaving for a more successful club .... it's the lies and disrespect etc.
At least you got money for Nasri!

Nasri's escapades on twitter show him to be petulant and irascible above all else. In the long run I think his own comments will embarrass and damage him more than what other people say.

100% in agreement. The one thing i'd like to point out is sometimes too much can be made of the whole "this club gave you the opportunity to become who you are" or you would be "nothing without this or that manager"....ultimately its the players who have to perform on the pitch...the skill and physical intensity is all coming from them (re the latter we saw that this sometimes means putting ones life at risk a la Muamba)...yes they get paid too much for this but thats the system-not their fault.

Nasri does need to contain himself though...otherwise he will end up looking very very silly in the future.

He does make some pertinent points about our set-up at Arsenal but it's his last comment that sticks in my craw: "I now hope the Arsenal fans can get on with their lives and forget me, they should celebrate their third-place achievement and I will focus on winning titles."

    Antagonistic prick.

  19. Sorry, but whilst Nasri should just keep his mouth shut - he is correct in what he is saying. The fact that he has drawn attention to the fact there are Arsenal players just taking the money is worrying, but I believe it. I have seen too many performances where the players are just not working hard enough, so this accusation resonates.

'If all that I was interested in was money, the easiest decision would have been to stay at Arsenal, picking up my money every week and walking into the team.'

How does that even make sense?
