Sorry to be the "scrooge" character but as usual the owner will not be investing in any new signings during the transfer window even though we desperately need some bolstering in defence. Why should I be so surprised?

Mick has previous for telling porkies in the build up the transfer window, though I think we'd all expect this story to be the case given the past few seasons.

That said, it wouldn't surprise me if we went out and signed somebody completely out of the blue, as one thing Mick is good at is keeping everything under his hat until it's about to get announced.
If I were to hazard a guess as to what we'll actually do.. I reckon we'll go back and finally signed Connor Goldson on loan from Brighton to cover at the back and then maybe one other long punt from the depths of non league who we'll perhaps never get to see in a Town shirt.

 

What a wonderful way to encourage people to take up half season tickets, " invest in the Club and see zero growth for your support ", I don't think that taking the piss out of your customers is a successful business plan.
