Meanwhile, as Millwall fans pelt an injured player with bottles:

Jackett defended his side's supporters, despite a bottle landing within a yard of Steele as he lay in the goalmouth waiting to receive treatment.

“I didn't think it would have been the right decision (to abandon the game), but told the referee to ask the Boro keeper,” said the Millwall boss. “We felt that things would settle down, which they did.

“From our fans' point of view, there was some fantastic passion there and perhaps they felt aggrieved at one or two decisions which didn't go their way.

“I'm not condoning it, but I do like the passion and enthusiasm. And some of the decisions we've had lately have been tough.”

Says everything about how the two clubs Leeds and Millwall are run. And I'm not saying either is better or worse, but they could both learn something from each other.

If it had happened at Leeds, Ken Bates would have shut off the Kop and bombed the fans as they were leaving.

He closed the Kop to non-members just because of a couple of songs for Christ's sake.

He would have charged them to get out first!!

jealous TC.
wonder how Millwall managed fewer arrests.?.Thats the answer,if no fooker goes they can't get arrested.<laugh>

Bloody rude, Chesh. Its the serious fans that turn up tht get arrested, but no-one did!( get arrested I mean). I think the article stinks, not a word of Millwall and how good and well behaved the fans are, but if there had been an increase in arrests I bet we would have rated a mention.

serious question 18, do you ever sleep?

Nah, sleep's boring. I subsist off bottles of Relentless, copious amounts of crystal meth and highly-caffeinated coffee.

(I tend to stay up quite late and then have a power nap in the afternoon. Can't stand sleeping overnight for more than 7 or 8 hours, it ****s my head up).

well, **** it, i'm off to bed, on mi ****ing own, thanks to Mighty, G'neet chaps <ok>

Article states arrests at Leeds, doesn't state Leeds fans.
Plenty of away fans get arrested most weeks usually after problems with stewards.
That particular year 2010,I believe 100 or more
[MILLWALL FANS WERE ARRESTED,TRYING TO BREAK THE GATES DOWN,TO AVOID HAVING TO WATCH ANY MORE OF THERE TEAM GETTING A VERY BAD WUPPING]##

## may or mayn't be totally true.<laugh>

To be honest, we are usually high on both lists, and the redtops go to town on us.
Funny that now the media darlings from Manchester are sitting on top of the tree, and not a peep(surprise surprise).

Double standard journo cnuts <grr>
