Perhaps Defoe should play in this one, despite our concerns over injuries to our players. SURELY he'll score against this lot?
on the other hand why do England need him, its not like the other CBs are Average and we are gonna concede a load of goals
Retrieved the thread nearly on page3! ...page3 being far more entertaining I know, but just incase anyone does have a comment to make...if they watch the match.
Apart from him saying 90 minutes of football will be bad for his back but an eight hour flight to Qatar wouldn't, his attempt at defending it by saying it's like watching football at home poses three questions: i.) Does he get paid to watch football at home? ii.) How many Arabic people live in his house? iii.) Shouldn't he turn down his thermostat?
Eng XI: Hart, Walker, Smalling, Lescott, Baines, Oxlade-C, Lampard, Cleverley, Young, Rooney, Defoe. 2 of our players start.
Just saw the team. I'm perturbed Walker will be on it, but on the other hand I don't think the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker will put that much pressure on the CBs. Defoe's starting as well. This is a perfect gig for him.
I gonna miss this match as I have been forced to have a one night stop-over in Amsterdam en route to Uganda.
