Now that would be hilarious. I was further back. Speaking of derby fans, hasn't Robbie savage been a bit quiet after telling everyone derby would win. I also read a post on a forest forum that they met a couple of their players on a night out before our second leg and they admitted they didn't want to play us and wanted Wigan instead.
Well I put my shirt in the wash, just in case... It's proving very difficult to find any coverage from Derby sources. The few I've looked at seem to now be glossing over the 'penalty' appeal in the first half, and are being very muted in their response. To be fair, I'd like to hope we would be the same in their shoes. Which makes it all the sweeter that we don't have to wear the shoes of losers!!! Anyway - you gonna update your sig any time soon mate?
No update, I still don't want the manager here. WATRB did a poll the day after the game and 1/3rd still wanted him gone. Its a pretty incredible result considering the circumstances. Its a bit tongue in cheek anyway in reference to my sig on an old forum.
Touch of genius there Nines! You put the question so politely and with such faux innocence that it took me a while to grasp. Well played that man!
Derby are a very good team who were very unlucky. They stayed out after the game; they clapped. All sorts of stuff goes on during the game: on the pitch and in the crowd. The behaviour afterwards was as good as it can get. McLaren is an all round class act. I wish he were ours. I think Derby fans deserve our praise and, per the OP, our salute. Now we should go out and buy some of their players and, possibly, their coach!
Cheers 'Ican't......Bhatia.' It was great to finally meet you on Saturday. I hope you won't need to change your username any time soon.
Maclaren ordered the players to stay out and applaud us. If it had been left to the players they would have left skid marks on their way down the tunnel. Maclaren is indeed a class act. However, I think their players, whilst capable of playing good football were a bunch of diving moaners. And I will keep on saying this...........how were they unlucky? They didn't create one chance as clear as Charlie's, let alone Zamora's. They were, in fact, lucky in that they were given (quite rightly) the opportunity to play against 10 men for the last 30 minutes and yet they still couldn't force a goal or a really clear cut chance. We defended for our lives and took our chance when it came. No luck there imo.
