I said a couple of weeks ago, every team we play I find myself wishing we had their keeper. How we never came away with 5-6 goals tonight is a mystery. Wish we’d have went through, but lots for Farke to learn from this, Shackleton played well again, he’s one we need to keep and Joffy needs moving on or loaning out.

Rutter will get better but if we could have a refund minus a 10% restocking fee I’d take it.

I'm a bit biased Blono, as I still think Shilton was over rated, but he managed to save 3 out of 56 (although not sure if the 3 were actually saved or just missed), so less than 1%.

Seem to recall that the average for a Premier league keeper is around 12% .

Alisson has only ever saved one penalty for Liverpool, although their opponents have failed to score from 7 penalties

It comes out every August and January, no matter the year.

Had it since 1996, so its almost mint condition :)

There will be no promotion with our defence.

Hopefully Farke sees that and we get a couple more defenders in

Rutter appears to be a big windy bluffer. He went in for a tackle in the corner in injury time and completely wimped out. Take the €25m

We can't keep saying the Cups don't matter and then throw the players under a bus every time we get knocked out. For a game we did not need to win we gave it a good go and in general played well.

Looking forward to Saturday and a hell for leather Yorkshire Derby.

    Having slept on it.

We were **** last night. Defence is shaky at best and Wakey is right. We're not going up with this lot at the back, particularly the left hand side pairing. It's also abundantly clear we now have two sub standard keepers which is something I picked up on against Shrewsbury.

As an attacking force we will have to rely on Piroe not getting injured. The others just don't pull the trigger.

    Piss poor.

Couple of points. Meslier wouldn’t have done any better with the penalties as he’s rubbish with penalties. Think he’s only ever saved one so his presence wouldn’t have changed anything. Point two, where’s the promotion talk coming from. Farkes never mentioned it, in fact has gone to great lengths to talk about fans needing to be patient. As things stand this teams not likely to get 90 plus points required but that’s not the end of the world given the **** show Farke inherited

Agreed and Farke knows we are not good enough. Let's see if we sign anyone else for left side defence.

Don’t pull the trigger, you do realise we had 35 shots and their keeper was mom, the last save he made from Sinisterra was outstanding.

Too many negative gut reactions on here, 71% possession, 35 shots, hit the woodwork 3 times, I never like blaming a ref but he gave nothing in our favour, there was a blatant foul and penalty for Gnonto not given.

It was a strong display, we’ve new signings lined up, we’re going to go up top of the league

You been on the poppers !
Didn't watch the game, thought it would be the same old same old against lower opposition but tuned in for the penalties and Georgie boys was beyond woeful his body shape was all to cock and I'm no gypsy but you just knew he was going to miss...... wembley is just a name on a tube station to Leeds United alas, next up the gritty Yorkshire derby let's see who's got the minerals.

Agreed. It was just one of those games where we were extremely unlucky. Could have scored five or six easily and it wasn’t for lack of shooting.

And yes, we will win the league.

Come on mate, you ask if I’ve been on the poppers then say you didn’t watch the game but tuned in for the penalties. I’m amazed that anyone would have Sky but not watch Leeds play when given the opportunity.

Rutters penalty was awful, but if you’re going to judge the game on that ;)
