I think I would have rested young Archie.

 

We are risking our only Championship standard central midfielders.

Fingers crossed we get through this. Salford are very physical.

Also have to say Drameh is toast if he’s not in the starting lineup with Ayling rested.

 

That was my first thought why have bate and greenwood.

 

Looks like Dramah will be gone by Friday night. Lots of interest from Championship clubs.

Think I would have played Gyabi and Greenwood / Bate as the holding and further forward roles and rested Ampadu and Gray. That said, maybe Farke wants to keep the momentum going

I personally feel Farke knows we have one possibly two midfielders set to join so it’s about keeping that momentum and knowing we’re set to strengthen.
