It's what many of us have expected since before Christmas tbh - Mo and Virgil to stay, with Trent most likely to leave.
I presume the Trent situation may get more complicated as after last night there is a lot of talk of Ancelotti not being there next season so the new manager may not want Trent.
I don't think the manager traditionally has a lot to say about transfers at RM. They take what they're given.
It's also possible that Trent might believe he'll find it easier to establish himself in a side in need of change, rather than break into a well-functioning one.
True, but maybe there's someone out there who thinks they can make the most of his assets, whilst minimising the effects of his weaknesses. I've no idea what you do with him tbh, his passing range is sublime, but his positional discipline is woeful.
Trent will be confident in his own abilities, he won't be thinking "what will Real Madrid do when they find out I'm not great at defending?"
I think it's already gone. However, hopefully (if it's not done) he watched Arsenal destroy Real Madrid and thought "the current second best team in the PL just destroyed the team I'm thinking about joining and I'm currently playing for the best PL team"
Salah and VVD were obviously both playing the game to get the best deal they could but I genuinely think Salah always wanted to stay. I'm not so sure about Virgil, I suspect he's explored avenues and decided to stay because it's his best option.
I suspect both wanted to stay, especially after things have gone so well with Slot, but explored other options to a certain extent.
Im pretty sure there were various antics along the way. Salah played a media game so one side or the other caved. The media want to tell us he's on 25mil per season or 480k which is well about his prior wages. Vvd just happened to get pictured with psg staff etc. They were quite OK and respectful compared to some we have seen in other club and given the amount of time they got asked about it. It must get tiresome but salah certainly piled into the media zones to make sure everyone knew the score. Right now all we know is apparently what real want us to know. Trent said he wouldn't be talking and has not.
Ancelotti is toast after last night. It will be interesting to see who replaces him. A few formerly of this parish are getting a mention
I thought Klopp said he had retired as a football manager now? Going on the trivago hotel add he’s done he looks all the better away from it. He would only go for the money. With all his previous clubs he’s been given time to build a team and achieve. He won’t get time with the corrupt Madrid team.
Rafa Seriously klopp hasn't got what it takes any more and he would have zero interest in self indulgent swine like bellingham
Can’t see anyone but Alonso going there. Leverkusen won’t win anything this year, but he’s got them Cl again. But already talk of Wirtz and Frimpong going, just can’t compete financially so jump ship before team is torn apart.
