I just heard 2 Stoke fans waxing lyrical about how nice the flats in St Mary’s are. Says it all. I don't think they've any buildings over 2 storys high up there
I think and hope that the only reason Armstrong starts over Stewart or Downs is fitness related. Not that we know much about either, but a focal point up front would clearly improve this team.
Other way round for me. Last week Downes really make excellent runs forwards while Charles always sat back.
Yeah for us Charles has sat back and tended to dictate play but Downes fulfills defensive duties off the ball such as breaking up play more so than Charles. Probably a reflection of how the game has changed in terms of defending now happening further up the pitch.
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I thought Armstrong had a good game against Ipswich. So I don't mind him starting. Wellington was very poor though.
Obviously our new manager isn’t and let’s go with his more informed judgement is my take on this set up. Must admit getting ready to go on holiday jumped up on the priority list for today, I remember the last game with them at SMS I think we managed a win coming from behind? It was that memorable.
In fairness to Adarma, he was good in that role against Ipswich. Would rather a proper 9 there, but let’s see.
Depends whether they mean the estate flats or the old Meridian site flats. Because those are pretty nice. The Northam flats not so much.
