This isn't going ahead. ****ing joke really, I understand if it is due to covid but injuries are part of football. Think they only have 3 covid cases now so no way should it be called off
Yeah right. If they hadn’t given teams this get out clause and Newcastle didn’t have impending hundreds of millions to spend, he would be continuing to get injections and playing.
It's very conceivable that they'll only play one PL match in the whole of January. Our game is clearly doubtful. And their match against Watford must be a doubt too, when you throw in the sizeable number of players who Watford will lose to the AFCON. And the final weekend of January is empty for all of us due to a one-off international break. So that could leave them just playing Leeds on Jan 22 - and that's assuming that isn't postponed either. Their shiny brand new squad will then be in place come February.
I’ve enjoyed reading the NUFC fans thinking they're signing Mbappe, Vlahovic and Dembele. They’re going to end up with Martial, Tosun and Lingard.
It seems to be that Dembele will sooner sign a new Barca contract on reduced terms than join Newcastle I’m not even convinced Martial will go there. All the rumours are that they only want a loan. No way Man United will see their stacks of cash and accept a loan. Loans are for when you don’t have the money to buy OR a very late in the window deal where a permanent requires more paperwork And I don’t see Martial wanting to join a relegation struggle when I get the feeling he hates it in this country anyway
I like Eddie but really, really, really want Newcastle to be relegated. Instantly loose the Saudis millions.
Will only be temporary even if they do go down. They walked the Championship twice under Ashley, hard to see them not doing the same with these new owners
Yeah just don’t think them going down this year would be classed as a failure under the current owners. The damage was done before they arrived. Im actually interested to see who they target and what sort of team they can put together, so would quite like them to stay up so I don’t have to wait an extra season to see that
Blimey, they're all getting very touchy on Twitter, which I do sort of understand, if the covid cases are true. The thing that's blowing my mind is that they seem to feel they deserve it, after 14 seasons of "bargain bucket" signings under Ashley. I mean, it's not like any other clubs have had to spend very frugally recently, is it? Oh...
Are they? All I have seen so far is a couple popping onto the Twitter feeds of journalists who report on saints crowing about how we must be “scared of them” since we actually want the game to go ahead when they happen to have their two best players injured Missing the clear part about them being too scared to play us until after they have made loads of January signings …
Imagine having bought a player for £40m and complaining that your owner doesn’t spend money. They may not have spent well, but they also haven’t been operating in the ‘bargain bucket’.
