Massive surprise seeing Sims start! But very worried about the lack of Tadic and Boufal. Let's hope Redmond and Sims play as wingers and get plenty of good deliveries in.
I think Puel's inclusion of Sims in the starting XI is already flipping Koeman the bird, given his limited use of the academy products. Great trolling. Hope he does well!
Here's hoping for a bit of adventurous forward running from the midfield, going beyond the strikers, just to make us less predictable. Even if the run just frees up space for Chaz, it will be worth making. Not sure anyone expected a start for Sims. Good luck to the lad.
Maybe the thinking behind sims is that Koeman will know our players very well, both their strengths and weaknesses. But he won't have a clue about Sims because he didn't give a **** about the academy!!
