Goodness football has become so boring, shallow and predictable it is no wonder I have lost all interest in the Saints.
------------------------Rondon ----------------------- Chadli-------------------------- JRod -------------------------------- Krychowiak ----------------------- Barry------------------------------ Livermore Gibbs ----------------- Evans -------------------- GMac-------------------- Nyom And Myhill in goal. That's not bad on paper is it, but the Brom fans seem a little unhappy at present, mainly directed at Tony. We really need to start fast, and certainly get the first goal, or they have the potential to really frustrate us, and will most certainly be a threat at set pieces. I think the Newcastle game will have helped our preparation this week, and I'm hoping Boufal has forced himself in. 2-1........I hope
Been meaning to ask if this is a new account and did you get locked out of your old one? Less than 50 posts... Post/like ratio is outstanding though
I think it was losing to Stoke that cost Claude his job. But yeah, losing to West Brom at home does not look great on any manager's CV. Trouble is, beating them is never easy either. One thing we really cannot afford to do is concede two goals.
It's entirely possible that a freak wind will be the best chance we'll have of getting the ball to Gabbi
It is a decent side on paper. Krychowiak is a seriously good player if he can recapture his form for Sevilla. Rondon can be a handful aswell and Chadli and J-Rod can cause problems. Their defence isn't great but you know they will be very well drilled and hard to break down like all Pulis teams and I don't think we have the ability to do it. I can see us dominating possession but pretty much all in front of an organised West Brom side and they hit us on the counter with a Jay Rod goal.
Hopefully we go 3-5-2. CM and Defence picks itself. Anyone but Forster in goal. Gabbiadini and Long upfront, with Boufal or Tadic in behind. Ideally Boufal from the start instead of a 20 minute cameo.
Yes I did get locked out of my old account. I'm not entirely sure how it happend but I ended up opening a new one and starting again. The post/like ratio is about right though IMO.
Predicted line up now confirmed that there are no injury concerns ----------------Forster---------------------- Cedric---VVD----Yoshida----Bertrand --------Lemina------Romeu-------------- Tadic------------Davis--------------Redmond ----------------Gabbiadini--------------- Can't see MP changing much after the last game. Think he might throw an extra midfielder in and take Long out to try and stop the West Brom counter attack.
MP feels that people today expect reward every time....if I understood him correctly. He is right if he means that fans are less patient nowadays. He did say that we are having the same problem at home as we did last season. Added that the fans would respond if the team looked like they were trying every minute.
So the same lineup that has shown itself time and time again to be absolutely toothless going forward? I look forward to watching that.
Pellegrino seems to have seen the light re Davis as a third midfielder. First sub off against Stoke & on the bench against Newcastle. Just need Redmond to be dropped for Boufal (or even McQueen) now, along with Forster. Ideally, we'd play a 3-5-2 though. We have the perfect players for it.
Neither of which we won. If we just counted the time in those games davis was on the pitch we would be 2 points better off. Just saying
We scored and looked more dangerous going forward. 1.5 isolated games without a player who is usually always in the team. Of course the team need to get used to it. Are you ignoring the many games we play **** and drop points with Davis in the team? We were also losing when he was subbed off against Stoke, so his heroics obviously weren't that influential. We also scored and looked more dangerous going forward once he went off. What a shock that was...
