Couldn’t give a damn if Djeneppo picked the ball up with two hands, carried it through their defence and handed it to Danny to dive over the line with it like JPR Williams (look it up), so long as the goal was given.
What a cold and miserable place St Marys was last night, for 70 odd minutes then it started to warm up and by the time the final whistle went it was positively flipping tropical ! Hoping for more of the warm stuff on Wednesday evening.
Anybody thinking our game against Norwich is going to be a stroll in the park needs to watch them against Arsenal
Tbf our match stats at the Emirates were at least as good as Norwich's were today and we should've won. I think the difficulties the players have had at SMS have been psychological for quite a while now and we can only hope that a late comeback win against a direct rival will inspire them and the fans alike to help get it back to being a fortress. Here is an example when the fans had a direct effect on the team against Norwich in 2005, the atmos before Camera scored this was electric and yes I'm aware that we ended up going down that year! I'm not blaming the fans in any way solely for our poor form only that it needs togetherness to promote some momentum moving forward.
We're definitely a better side away from home at the moment. And the away support has been good from what I've seen (it certainly was at Arsenal, and Spurs).
Agree. In fact there’s no strolls in the park these days in the PL. I’m pleased/relieved we won, concerned that yet again for 70 minutes we looked like going down to another defeat. But we won that’s it and I can stand games like that if I feel we have just that bit extra to get over the line when we have to. Let’s hope we don’t give Norwich a goal in the first or second half! Then we’ll win!!!!
Only three matches ago Norwich lost 2-0 at home to a ten man Watford, things can change very quickly sometimes in football but they can also carry on getting worse as we have experienced in recent seasons.
