Agreed. If it’s not his day, we can always change it and put someone else on, but I’d start him. He looked like he was starting to get some time and shape up but then would be left out. Baffled me.

He may not have started 6 in a row but between Brighton at the end of October and the Fulham game in the 3rd round of the Cup he started 10 games out of 14 so he's certainly been a regular starter. And 3 of the 4 games he didn't start were away at Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea so I'd guess he was left out for tactical reasons rather than because of his performances. Do you really think starting 6 games in a row would be that different to 10 starts out of 14 and if so what's so special about starting 6 consecutive games?

I like Boufal but he's starting to feel a bit Gaston if you know what I mean, although Boufal does seem more suited to the Premier League than Gaston (even though Gaston scored and assisted more goals).

I also think our attacking play has been pretty good in the last couple of games with Tadic on the left, JWP on the right and 3 of Romeu, Hojbjerg, Davis and Lemina providing a more solid midfield 3.

Why Tadic? He was my MotM last week. I'd have him in for Romeu to stop him picking up a yellow and have Lemina drop back into midfield.

Purely a personal choice, yes Tadic had a good game last time, but he is just as liable to have a stinker today. I think that the energy and industry of Romeu, Pierre, Lemina and JWP worked well last time and I am loathe to change them for this match.

    This.

I really don't think we need all 3 of Pierre, Lemina and Romeu against teams not in the top 6 either.

Tadic was great against spurs. Forgot boufal didn’t start, would put him in for Lemina.

Earlier in the season Watford bullied our lightweight midfield and completely dominated the game, I would have Romeu, Lemina and PEH starting to put up a fight to win this battle.
Keep the same front six as Spurs game

I wonder what effect their new manager will have had this week. There is usually some reaction to a new boss, especially if they were pissed off with Silva as reported.

That's what is worrying me. Apart from being at home, I view this as a 50:50 match....either way.....and I'm not even sure about being at home having a positive effect. I do think the team are buoyed by their draw against Spurs though. As for Guido, I'm sure they are poring over his stats from his first training session and probably other assessments. A bit early for him I would think. Whilst not essential to win this game, I think a win would have a positive effect on enforcing the team's feel good factor.
