Nice from Tadic. He's the only player of ours that I look at and really think might create something.
It just seems to be a case of square pegs, round holes. Which is strange as we have a balanced, deep squad. Not sure how long we should persist with the diamond?
I do. He has his faults, but he's much quicker off his line than Pantylemons. And playing through the fast guys might be our best shot at getting some joy here.
That's the problem. We're trying to go down the middle of the pitch, and getting shut down, and we don't appear to have the width to stretch the field.
Need to relax a bit (not just you) - it's our first competitive game in this formation, it's not going to be perfect straight away.
He's going to have to. They're going to clog the middle up a goal, plus that's how they play anyway, plus that's a good way to defend the diamond. So Tadic is going to have to beat some guys and open something up. Which he just did, awesomely. It would help if Redmond were to be a little more of a presence and occupy some defenders.
When he's having a good day, he's a bugger. No way is he the worst keeper. Shay Given is playing today btw!
Wanyama & Schneiderlin were so good together though, I don't think we have the players for it. Romeu & Hoijberg could potentially be a great partnership there.
