I agree st_brendy. I think this is the best team we have available at the moment: Gazzaniga Clyne Fonte Yoshida Fox Davis Morgan JWP Puncheon Lambert Lallana I'd love to see Lee come on. I really think we have missed him this year.
Got a bit of spare time... Southampton goals scored when Lambert is on: 11 Southampton goals scored when Lambert is off: 2 Southampton goals let in when Lambert is on: 16 Southampton goals let in when Lambert is off: 8 Minutes on: 547 (according to transfermarket.co.uk) Minutes off: 173 (approximately) When Lambert is on the field, we score every 50 minutes and concede every 34 minutes. When Lambert is off the field, we score every 87 minutes and concede every twenty one minutes. I think he should be starting to be honest...
Lambert has his limitations though and other options are worth looking at if the game calls for it. I think people are reading far too much into Adkins' decision to leave him on the bench for the West Ham game. Rodriguez is a good player too.
Team should be: Gazzaniga Clyne, Fonte, Hooiveld, Fox Davis, Schneiderlin, Ward-Prowse Puncheon, Lallana Lambert Davis, Shaw, Yoshida, Chaplow, Mayuka, Rodriguez, Guly Unsure as to wether Cork, Lee, De Ridder will be in or not...
I would suggest that if he's not on the pitch we're playing more defensively and the stats (conceding less frequently) bear that out, I don't really think less than two games of 'off' time is enough to draw any conclusions though. As for these rumours, I find them pretty doubtful.

It makes me laugh how a player not considered good enough for a Championship squad is suddenly a regular(ish) player for Tottenham
Nigel's team selection has been a joke at times. Perhaps it will open his eyes if Falque starts today.
I think that's very unfair. The championship is a very different style of football, we had a settled team.
Yeah not picking Falque really let us down... whatever the reasons, it didn't work out. It didn't matter.
It certainly was bad timing rather than a lack of ability. We had no need for a player like him - I may be mistaken, but did we not bring him in when Lallana was injured? Either way, Yago has always beena technically talented player. Certainly not "not good enough", and I'd have liked to see him given more of a chance, it just happened we didn't need to give him one.
Have to say I have a sense of impending doom today. Think we're going to have to really focus on defending in wide positions to get anything out of this game and that's something we've really struggled to do. I'd probably play something like this to shore up the flanks: Boruc Clyne, Fonte, Hooiveld, Yoshida Davis, Schneiderlin, Ward-Prowse, Fox Lallana Lambert It's a very defensive line-up and obviously there's still a good chance we'd lose playing like that (in which case everyone would be calling for the manager's head for playing so negatively of course) but I just feel it's the only chance we have of getting something out of a Spurs side which has looked very impressive going forward, particularly in wide areas.
