Ed Balls could play. A bit of a diver though.

Saints 1-0 Spurs. Just hope that Boruc doesn't play, something about him just gives me the creeps, and the fact that he is nicknamed the "Holy Goalie" is never a good sign blahh.

    Predicted lineup:

    -----------Boruc
    Clyne-Fonte-Yoshida-Fox
    -----------Morgan---------
    --Puncheon-Davis-Lallana-
    ----------Lambert------------
    ----------Rodriguez------------

Subs: Davis, Shaw, Chaplow, Hooiveld, Mayuka, Guly, JWP

Lambert to play a free role and Puncheon and Lallana to be more defensive. Perhaps Mayuka to start but he will probably be a sub and then start against leeds, same for Shaw but I have a suspicion if he is deemed to be closer to match fitness than fox he will start. We will play well but concede two good goals. 0-2 Spurs (i have been very wrong with all my predictions so hoping to be wrong again)

This back four scares me but if the **** fits wear it

    Gazzaniga
    Clyne
    Hooiveld
    Yoishida
    Fox

Now that has to be an all time ****e backline for Southampton FC .

Thanks for this, I'd have totally forgotten that this is the week when they're going back in the UK. I'd have woken up before noon for nothing!

Glad our Nige has his mojo back. There are two teams below us and a few with scarcely more points than us...sometimes we've been acting as if we are all alone in misery. A few games could change everything and if we just get up the table a bit I would trust NA and the team tp keep us there, especially when our missing players are back in contention.

By the way Saints v Spurs is on 5 live Sports Extra so if anyone doesn't have Saints Player and isn't in Hampshire can listen to it.

I fancy Southampton to win this. It looks like a goal fest with both sides favouring the we'll score more than you, style of play.

Their defence isn't flawless either, so I think we can score goals.

Been browsing the Spurs forums, and am surprised how negative a lot of them are about this game, thought most of them would have it down as a nailed on win. I didn't know that Spurs have never scored or won at SMS, let's hope that run continues tomorrow. We've got to keep a clean sheet eventually...surely!!!

    Gazzaniga
    Clyne Fonte Yoshida Fox
    Davis Morgan JWP
    Puncheon Lambert Lallana

Davis, Hooiveld, Shaw, Chaplow, Guly, Lee, Rodriguez

(Mayuka if Lee isn't fit. Seaborne or Dickson if Shaw isn't fit)

Leave Boruc out, and play him against Leeds in the cup instead. Looked too rusty against WH for me, understandably.

Agree with this line up. I wasnt that impressed by Boruc at Upton Park, and would prefer either of the other two in goal, but surely it is not a good idea changing keepers each game. The defensive problems are more a collective issue particularly down the left.
