Exactly. I mean, come on, we'll score a goal. Maybe two.

We always score (apart from against Wigan). When I go to games, even though we're unlikely to win we're still probably going to score and you can't beat that feeling!

Thanks to you and also Second Stain. To Ss, train isn't an option as there are works in the am. Annoying this was my first choice.

3-1 Spurs - Bale will run us ragged after we line up in the 4-3-3 formation as our lack of width will give him free-rein to attack down the line and cut inside whenever he wants. Defoe is too clever for our CB's and will slip through between them with ease. Sorry to be so negative, but thats how l see it. Lambert to get our goal - assuming our best striker does not find himself on the bench.

Lucky I now live in Southampton, but the traffic after the match is truly woeful at the moment. People queuing in their cars a good hour and a bit after the game. By the way the traffic was heading M3 way, not sure what it's like elsewhere.

When I go with my Dad we park 20 minutes walk away. Works well as we get back at around 6:30. (3pm kick off).

3-2 Spurs, Defoe to score from a scramble after the 80th minute to give them the win.

I'm not sure I could take that happening again!

Hopefully we will take the lead at some point, we seem to start real well at home. Like someone else said above, you can't beat that feeling.

Looks like Spurs came through last night injury free. Just have to hope for a bit of jet lag!

I doubt that Eyjafjallajökull will be fit to start on Saturday; he/it'll probably be eased into the lineup.

Are we in for him? Does he have pace? Will Mark Lawrenson be able to pronounce his name?

I hear he's hot stuff and will give us some height at the back, but sadly very little pace.

Saw this on the Spurs Board. A good read!
    Preview

The 29th of September was the last time we saw this Tottenham team complete a full 45 minutes playing near to its full potential, with that game being against Man Utd. Since that game its largely been unimpressive & lacklustre with a real struggle to create clear cut chances.

Overall this season, I would suggest its fair to say the Reading game has been the only game in which we have been impressive for a full 90 minutes, looking like the same team in each half, which is why at times its hard to know which Tottenham will turn up.

This Sunday, we face a Southampton side that have conceded 24 goals in their first 8 games, so regardless of the players we have possibly missing (dembele) its fair to say this is an ideal game for us to take the game to the opposition and show real attacking intent.

Southampton are a team which don't lack confidence or team spirit, regardless of the fact they have the worst defence in the league, and it says a lot about their spirit, that they still enter games with the belief their attacking play will provide a positive result.

Naive? yes, yet having a manager which allows his players to play with freedom, is what attacking players love, and if you look at their performances against Man city & Man Utd, they have the confidence to play with freedom and cause real problems for this leagues top teams.

Southamptons key man, is Lallana, a home grown talent, whos performances this season lead to an England call up. Lallana is a superb passer of the ball, efficient and intelligent with his distribution and their most creative player, with four assists this season yet he reads the game well and has the 3rd highest interception rate in the league.

With Dembele possibly missing for the game, it means we're going to face a real struggle to compete in midfield, as we simply don't have anyone in the squad that can fill that void, and that for me shows up the weakness of our squad and also flaws in AVB's tactics.

AVB will play 4-2-3-1, regardless of which players are fit, if this means playing a right footed central midfielder on the left wing, he will do that and also allowing our midfield to lack creativity to control the game if Dembele is injured.

Looking at this spurs squad/team, when we have our best players fit, then AVB's tactics are starting to show promise, yet the concern is when a key player in midfield is injured, we don't have the quality in reserve and the midfield is vital to the high pressing games AVB wants to employ.

This game is hard to predict, if I was watching this as a neutral, I would most likely predict a high scoring draw with possibly a Tottenham win if our attackers are on form, yet if Southampton play with freedom as they did against Man utd at home then they can win.

I love that the Spurs fans are more confident about our chances than us!

I find it hard to see how we will prevent Defoe from scoring. Bale will score too. So I guess we are just going to have to win 3-2 of 4-3.

    i've got a feeling we'll scrape through with a 1 - 0 win.

    Lambert to score.
