Yes it was bad! What made it worse I was in the Spurs end with my Spurs mad mate! God did I take some stick!
Wasn't that the game where Bruce Grobbelaar actually let in a few goals because he had been paid too?
Its going to be tough game. Best game I remember was the FA cup 3rd round when Saints under Gordon Strachen won 4-0 which was on BBC 1 at 5pm on a bank holiday with everyone watching! The crowd singing 'Hoddle, Hoddle what's the score?'
Bale will be playing, back from paternity leave. His daughter is apparently named Alba Violet Bale. AVB. I've not seen a 100% definitive source, but still
Grobelaar threw that game. Pretty blatantly too, if you get a chance to watch it. I think the commentator even says "Bruce Grobelaar didn't move an inch there", or words to that effect, as Ronnie The Rocket's first goal flew in.
Going back through the fixtures we have a bad record at White Hart Lane but usually did OK at The Dell. Let's hope that continues at St Mary's.
My evil side wants a few important Spurs players to get minor injuries that will keep them unfit until say...Monday.
Getting out of Southampton during any busy period is awful, nose to tail stuff. Whether 32,000 people leaving the stadium will put that amount of stress on the M27 is debatable. Not all will be leaving by car, and most will be local, so not heading out of town. The train would be the best idea, in my opinion. But I don't think you'll come unstuck if you drive. Hey..! Ride a motorbike. The more traffic jams the better..!
@jackstephens_18: Buzzing for the next few days with the boys! #ilovemyteam Anyone think he could be getting a match soon, possibly Clyne to LB and Stephens at RB? Doubt it but just having a guess...
No I think it was more referring to the fact that a large number of the Development Squad are going to see the new Bond film this weekend. They've been tweeting about that a fair bit.
It was terrible getting out after the Fulham match, ended up pulling over and having a kip. Should be better this weekend as it's the later kick-off so the shopping traffic should have cleared.
We are not going to lose 5-0 at home. We're not that bad. We ran Man Utd extremely close and we beat Villa easily and drew with Fulham.
Have a decent team out...hopefully their tired out for thur although they don't look to be that bothered
Mate is a Spurs STH and he says he has a horrible feeling they are going to slip up and lose, he's seen Saints play 3/4 times live, when he's come along with us. He thinks both teams will score but Saints will nick it against the run of play.
You know that moment you look at a rival and see they are playing ManU/Arsenal/Chelsea and think thats a banker for us...then the barstewards go and win. Well, that's what I'm hoping for...everyone thinking Spurs will win and we prove them wrong. Straw clutching.
