Big game... and I won't be there. It is the one Saturday in the year when I have to do the good Dad thing. My daughter has a dance show every year when they show all the different routines performed during the year that I normally miss becasue I am at St MAry's. I was hoping for an away fixture on this date, by my son and I will be sat watching ballet instead of cheering on the boys. On the plus side though, a lad near me is a Saints fan and it's made his Xmas that he gets to go with his Dad instead of us.
I have always hated little girls dancing and can imagine nothing worse, but appreciate that you have to make the sacrifice. I'm just glad that my nieces never noticed that Auntie Fran was always off the Island/working/visiting the dentist when they had a show, but was strangely available for football and cricket matches.
So Ramirez back and Adkins has to decide if he is fit for Saturday. Hope so, though don't believe that we can't cope without him. Will Gazza play...the perennial question.
Ooooh Gaston Ramiiiirez !!! Play him, Nige. Of course we can win without him, but I'd still rather give him at least 45 mins. As for Gazzaniga, I keep coming back to one conclusion - Nigel was himself a goalie, so who better to know who to put between the sticks? He must believe in Paulo, and if he does I'll try and do likewise.
Simon Peach: 'Pogrebnyak is a doubt for #ReadingFC's trip to #SaintsFC tomorrow. Kebe, Karacan & McCarthy are out, but Guthrie could face his former club.'
Yeah me too. We had quite a few players on loan around that sort of time...Guthrie, Potter (haven't heard anything of him since he defeated the dark lord), Cork, and did we have Chaplow on loan before too?
and the exciting and frustrating Hammill, such a selfish player. Not sure what's happened to him either? Just looked it up and he's on loan from Wolves to our old rivals Huddersfield. Oh and Potter is at MK Dons apparently if anyone was interested.
Analysis on Sky points out that Reading and Saints can both score but also leak goals...they plumped for Saints on the basis that our defence has improved. Can we take that and not have to actually play the game
Here comes some bad news...sorry luke shaw: 'Ankle is hurtingggg' So probably doubtful for tomorrow then. Better hope Fox is fit because Richardson isn't yet.
Maybe Fox took a chunk out of him in training In better news, looks like Bryan Ruiz will be missing for our trip to Fulham.
