The American military had a department investigating the use of telepathy in warfare, especially killing from a distance. But they were Americans. I did see on TV a demonstration of our ability to feel watched. Was interesting. The audience queue was filing upstairs and they got someone to stare at one person...sure enough, that person turned round looking puzzled. Apparently a real phenomenon.
Actually, let's assume that there is something in this whole Friday 13th business. Let's say a beach ball is going to blow in and deflect Lambert's certain winner. Well that would be lucky for their keeper surely? No, if there is anything in it, watch out for a huge meteorite demolishing the stadium and wiping out both sets of fans.
Well, I would totally agree with you, but if it were to happen I would instantly be hailed as a top clairvoyant, and go on to make money off vulnerable people for my predictions. Just like all the other clairvoyants.
Then that's the expected result. It's actually no more likely that said meteorite should hit St Mary's than any other part of the South coast. So in a strange way it hitting the stadium could be argued to be not particularly unlucky. Except that the chances of it not hitting the stadium are much higher. It it hit Fratton Park, that would be serendipity.
It's alright CF, I'm firmly in the logic camp. I'm not of the astrology tribe. I was just having a little what-if wind up. It's not as if nobody has a go at me, is it..? EDIT: Not sure that if it hit FP, it wouldn't be fortuitous.
Well, if it did happen to hit Nottarf, at least they couldn't use that cliche, "you couldn't make it up, could you"!
