Billy Sharp is the oldest English outfield player to make his first Premier League start since Chris Lucketti in January 2007 (35y 107d), who also did so for Sheffield United (vs Portsmouth).
Didnt Lucketti play for us on loan before? Think it was under Pearson?
Amazing, yes. never heard of him!
I don't blame you, I try to forget that team and era and well.
Best game he’s had this season I think
Just watching the highlights and it's great to see Ryan Bertrand smiling for a change. He's proper happy with his goal (obviously) and the outpouring of joy is very welcome.
Just this, well done lads, thanks for finally showing us what you are capable of, well done Ralph, got the selection right it seems and well done to those who were there giving vocal support, regret couldn’t make this one. Keep our feet on the ground, and another month of performances like these will be a great start to the New Year!! Message to the Board, listen to your supporters and get busy reinforcing our defence/midfield!!
